What is AUX in the car radio and how to make (connect) AUX on a cassette or standard CD player

Today in various stores of electrical equipment and accessories for it you can find a huge variety of all kinds of stuff.

In particular, we are offered a wide selection of cables, allowing you to connect various devices and systems to each other.

However, there are some solutions that are not so easy to find in an ordinary cable store. These include, for example, the Aux 3.5-3.5 cable, that is, a cable with a dual input into the standard 3.5 jack for “household” headphones. Such solutions can, in principle, be made to order, but you can bungle something similar on your own, having at hand a couple of “extra” wires from the headphones and some simple tools.

In this article, we will tell you how to solder Aux into a full-fledged Aux 3.5 - 3.5 Jack cable. Many experience terrible inconvenience if necessary, say, to listen to your favorite music from any player in the car, on its native acoustics. For these purposes, we will use a couple - three torn headphones, which will serve as the “donors" of the main material for our cable.

- a pair of cords from old or new headphones,

Also for those who have at least some little skills in working with a soldering iron, they can add it to this list.

To begin with, we need to strip the wires and clean them from the braid. At the end of all procedures, you should get three small wiring with different colors at the output. The same procedure will need to be done with the second cord.

Next, you need to take two prepared wiring and twist each of their elements of the same color. After that, if you have the proper skills, it is advisable to solder them together. Now we will need to seal the joints with electrical tape. At the same time, it is necessary to “put” each twist on the electrical tape - this is necessary so that the wires cannot contact each other. After separating each wire section from the three available, it is necessary to assemble them all together and glue them using electrical tape.

In principle, everything. Now you can calmly go to the car, grabbing your favorite audio player with pre-recorded music.

In such a straightforward way, you can make from a seemingly junk such a useful thing as the Aux 3.5-3.5 cable, which will become indispensable in any road car trip.

Do-it-yourself AUX cable for the car radio: note for the modern car owner

As a result of the fact that mobile devices have entered the life of many car enthusiasts, users on the Web are often interested in what an AUX output is and how to make it. This article will be devoted to this issue. Find out how to connect the AUX cable for the car radio, how to make the corresponding output and what it will take - see below.

So, what is AUX, how to make and connect it? To begin with, let's understand the concept. AUX is an input for connecting an audio source. It can be a regular MP3 player, mobile phone, tablet connected via the appropriate cable. In fact, when connecting the player, the driver will be able to listen to audio recordings through the car radio, as through an amplifier.

Connecting an MP3 player to the car radio via AUX input

In this case, a pulse with an amplitude that is within the parameters from 0.5 to 1 volt will be supplied to the linear input. Any device for playing audio that is equipped with an appropriate output can give a similar impulse. As for the output, it is usually labeled as AUX OUT or CD OUT (which is much less common).

Today, many car enthusiasts use special tuners that connect through the cigarette lighter and allow you to listen to music through a flash drive. At the same time, these people claim that the tuner connected through the cigarette lighter is an excellent alternative to connecting the player via AUX. We want to say right away that the playback quality of audio files is fundamentally different - plug in yourself and you will understand this. When properly connected, the AUX output will produce a much better sound than a regular Chinese tuner.

Production manual

With what AUX is, we figured out, now let's move on to the issue of manufacturing the device. To make AUX into a head unit, you will need to perform certain actions, having prepared all the necessary materials in advance. In principle, the procedure for connecting this output is not particularly complicated, but in order to correctly carry out all the actions, it is necessary to observe certain nuances, which you will learn about later. If you have doubts that you will do everything correctly, we recommend that you contact an electrician for help.

The main recommendations, as well as an approximate diagram of connecting wires to the radio board, are shown in the video from the SRV channel below.

Tools and materials

So, if you want you to always be able to connect the MP3 player via cable through the car radio, you will need to equip the corresponding input. To correctly perform all the steps, prepare in advance the necessary plug for the input, as well as the cable. In principle, all this can be taken from old headphones, it is very important in this case that their input cable is intact. You can make sure that the cable for the input is intact, you can use it to "ring", for this a multimeter is used.

As for the input plug, certain points must be taken into account here. For example, the usual standard plug from any audio headphone is conventionally divided into several parts. The widest part of the plug, located at the plastic base, is most common in terms of a common cable. This cable is painted in a common color, and the conductors of two channels, the left and right, are marked in green and red. This means that the two parts that are left relate specifically to the playback channels.

In principle, to build an AUX input yourself, there is nothing complicated. You only need to prepare a certain set of devices:

  • headphone plug itself with cable,
  • soldering iron with consumables,
  • multimeter.

So, when all the necessary tools and materials are collected, you can begin to manufacture the input intended for connecting the player through the car radio.

To do everything right and so that you can easily connect any mobile device, including a player, through a cable to the car radio, follow these steps:

  1. To get started, remove all media from your car radio. When everything is removed, you will need to dismantle the audio system. To do this, you need to remove the decorative plastic pad, which, as a rule, is fixed using several plastic clips. As a rule, motorists have no problems at this step. But in the event that your car radio is morally obsolete (or rather, "ancient"), there is a chance that you will also need to unscrew a few bolts. One way or another, but this stage usually does not cause difficulties, so be guided by the situation.
  2. After the car radio is dismantled, you will need to unscrew a few screws located on the ventilation panel. This panel will subsequently need to be slightly raised upward - such an action will allow us to get rid of interference in the future.
  3. We can say that the preparatory stage for the production of the input for connecting the player to the radio via cable is completed. Now you need to connect all the cables that you took from the old headphones with the plug to the PCA output, that is, the tulip.
  4. To properly solder all cables, you must follow a certain order. In particular, the common cable should be soldered to the metal base of the connector. The conductors that are used as channels should be soldered to the middle terminals.
  5. After you use a soldering iron to solder all the necessary wires, you need to ring them, for this, as mentioned earlier, a multimeter is used. If there are problems, the procedure must be repeated.
  6. When you make sure that everything is done correctly, the soldered wires together with the plug will need to be brought out. So that they are in the cabin and you can connect a player or other device to them. In this case, you need to be based on your preferences, as well as the design features of the center console of your vehicle. After all, you need to make sure that connecting and using the player or mobile gadget through the cable does not cause discomfort or complexity. As practice shows, the most optimal in this case is the output of the cable to the ashtray, of course, if it is not used for its intended purpose. In advance, you need to make sure that the cable through which you connect the mobile gadgets or players is long enough. Otherwise, the connected device will just hang under the radio, and this, you see, is not very aesthetically pleasing. More detailed instructions for connecting this output are given in the video below (the author of the video is comPlushki Repairs and Arduino).

After you have been able to connect the AUX output for the player or phone, you need to check whether you did everything right. To diagnose the result, first of all, you should minimize the sound level on the head unit, that is, the audio system. This is because most mobile gadgets, after connecting to the head unit, begin to make noise, making an unpleasant sound. So, you need to connect a mobile device or player to the AUX output output to the vehicle interior, after which any audio recording is turned on.

In advance, you need to adjust the sound on the head unit. In the event that you were able to connect and solder everything correctly, audio from the player or mobile device will play in the speakers of the vehicle. If the audio quality does not suit you, try changing the playback settings on the head unit as well as the mobile phone. Sometimes it’s enough just to change the equalizer settings so that the sound is optimal.

The above instruction is relevant for those motorists who decide to do everything on their own and can handle a soldering iron. If you are faced with the need for soldering for the first time, then it is quite possible that you will not succeed in achieving the desired result. In the event that this option does not suit you, you can just go to the auto-acoustics store, purchase the appropriate adapter and connect it. This option is less labor intensive in contrast to the above, but it requires large financial investments.

A more detailed and intuitive instruction on connecting the AUX output to a car radio with a CD drive is shown in the video below (the author of the video is SoftMan).

Master AUX cable at your leisure) - logbook Skoda Felicia Czech Swallow 1996 on DRIVE2

In general, for a long time I wanted to tackle this issue. In principle, both the navigator on the phone and when driving is convenient to use this option, and here the mood in the morning was a bit of a mess. Yes, and from childhood I always liked to save on what I myself can do without problems) In general, we proceed to describe the process. You will need: A sober head (a soldering iron is not a toy =)) Direct hands Two pairs of unnecessary headphones (the main thing is for the plug to work normally) Soldering iron

A bit of fantasy and desire)

So, we begin the process. To begin, cut off the headphones and leave only the wires from the plug in the headphones, and remove the insulation (about a centimeter or two from the bare ends), this picture is approximatelyThe next step is to connect the same wires (red with red, blue with blue (there may be green instead of blue) and copper all together, there are usually 4 of them). We solder the wires (the easiest way is to oil them with a lighter and put them out right away), and dip them in rosin so that everything is flooded with it, we get the following picture at the outputNext, we isolate the whole thing with electrical tape, preferably so that the legitimate ends do not touch. just wrap each end and then, all together. We look what happenedWell, in principle, the cable is already ready, but somehow this piece of insulating tape on my eyes is mazolit. I took the housing from the speaker from the old headset to the phone and tearing everything to hell out of it, closed it with a piece of electrical tape, it really came out nice at the output)In general, it took about 10 minutes, including the time, while the soldering iron warmed up, as a result, saving time, which would go to the store)

How to make the AUX output for the car radio itself and connect a cable to it?

Home »Media» How to make the AUX-output for the car radio and connect a cable to it?

Modern audio systems are multifunctional devices that are used not only for playing tracks, but also for playing videos and many other functions. Receivers allow you to play data from different media - CD-ROMs, USB-drives, as well as mobile devices. From this material you will learn what an AUX output is, how to connect an AUX cable for a car radio, and how to make such a connector yourself.

What is AUX in an audio system, does it make sense to make such a connector yourself and how to connect it correctly to the radio? The purpose of this input is to connect a signal source, for example, a mobile device or an MP3 player using the appropriate wire. When you connect any of the above devices to the audio system, the latter will be used as an amplifier.

A signal with an amplitude in the range from 0.5 to 1 V will be supplied to this connector, any device for playing tracks can send such a pulse. Recently, tuners or transmitters that are connected through the cigarette lighter are gaining popularity among our compatriots. In reviews on the Web, our compatriots note that such a device can be a good alternative to the AUX output. But we hasten to disappoint you - the difference between such devices in terms of track playback quality is significant, so the transmitter is a bad option if you want to achieve high-quality sound (the author of the video is the SoftMan channel).

So, how to make an AUX-input in the head unit for a car:

  1. First you need to turn off the ignition and remove all media - disks or flash drives - from the audio system. Having done this, the standard audio system is pulled out of the seat, depending on the design features of the car, the dismantling procedure may differ. In some cars for the dismantling of the radio, you need to remove part of the center console.
  2. When the head unit is removed, you will need to unscrew a few bolts that are on the ventilation panel. Part of this panel must then be raised, this will get rid of possible interference in the future. Depending on the car, this panel may not be.
  3. After that, you will need to disassemble the body of the audio system, for this, unscrew all the bolts that fix it. After performing these steps, it will be necessary to connect all the wires prepared earlier with the connector to the PCA output on the device, in particular, this is a “tulip”.
  4. To properly solder the wires, the work procedure must be followed. The common wire will need to be soldered to the steel base of the plug. As channels you will use conductors, they are soldered to the middle contacts.
  5. Further, when all the elements are soldered to the contacts, you will need to ring the formed chains. A multimeter is used to test circuit health.
  6. After you can make sure that the soldered components are working, all the wires with the connector will need to be brought out. That is, you need to make sure that the connector is in the cabin. It can be brought to a torpedo, but for this you will have to make a corresponding hole in it. At this point, you should think through so that the media connection does not cause problems. Some motorists bring the connector into the ashtray, of course, this is possible if it is not used for its intended purpose. You should also consider in advance that the wire should be long so that the data carrier can be placed on the seat or put on a torpedo.
  7. When all the elements are connected and output, you should check the operability of the audio system. First, try connecting a mobile gadget and completely lowering the sound volume on the car radio and listen to how it works. This is done in order to make sure that there is no noise - as practice shows, often after connecting third-party carriers from the speakers of the car radio, noises begin to be heard. Connect the gadget to the AUX input and turn on the track on the media.

Для чего нужен этот выход

Линейный выход Аукс в магнитоле необходим для подключения к проигрывателю смартфона, планшета или mp3 плеера. In this case, sound will be transmitted through the car speakers.

In some cars, they were combined, and the car owner can connect the phone, answering a call. To do this, you can connect a microphone to the radio via AUX. Therefore, the panel on top of the Aux connector says “AUX IN”.

In the working state, a signal with an amplitude in the range of 0.5-1 V is output.

There is also an amplifier that transmits sound to speakers.

Some drivers do not know what the entrance to the radio with the inscription AUX means. In this case, you can mix up 2 identical connectors. Below the output with the prefix "IN", there is a plug labeled "OUT".

AUX OUT - A connector designed for audio output. Therefore, a wire is inserted into it to output music. For this, speakers are suitable. Unaware motorists are faced with the problems of sound output in the radio and do not know what Aux is. Therefore, if there are problems with the volume or the malfunctioning player, they change it, however, the matter may be the incorrect connection of the device.

How to use

When the Aux connector is detected on the car radio, the driver tries to determine what it is and how to use this function. The system can be found in many devices that reproduce sound. However, on older players for cassettes or in older versions of CDs, there is no line output. But this does not mean that the car enthusiast will not be able to connect a player or smartphone to play his music on the speakers.

To start listening to music in the car, you will need to determine how the playback device is connected through Aux and start listening to music from other sources. If the radio has an AUX plug, then to start using a wire is required, where the jack size should be 3.5 mm. On the other side of the adapter are several connectors for connecting an external device. If the corresponding output on the player is not found, then the car owner is able to make it himself. After connecting the playback device, you can listen to music.

How to enable AUX

If AUX was built into the car radio initially, then the system will need to unlock it. To turn on the Aux as a device that delivers a signal to the speakers, you must put the player in standby mode. To do this, press the SRC button, then - enter the menu using MENU. You will need to hold the button until the system is activated. In the menu you should scroll with the right control knob to switch Aux. AUX ON / OFF may appear on the car radio display, which means the input is on or off.

After the recorder says that Aux is turned on, press the MENU button. This will help log out and save the setting. Then you can connect the AUX-wire to the radio.

Bluetooth adapter

If for some reason the use of standard adapters is not possible, then you can purchase a bluetooth adapter. The device connects to any 3.5 mm jack. In the car radio, the bluetooth adapter is connected to the AUX input. With the help of the device there is a wireless transmission of an audio signal. The advantages of connecting AUX with a bluetooth adapter include:

  • Wireless signal transmission. Wires in the cabin interfere with the driver and look ugly.
  • High-quality sound codec. Sound tracks are played without jamming, a clear signal is output.
  • Convenient and easy to use. The adapter is connected directly to AUX and is connected to the car radio without additional actions and manipulations; to turn it on, press the button.
  • Sound output from several devices. The adapter provides for the connection of 2-3 external devices.
  • Bluetooth is easy to manage. You can switch music or adjust the volume using your voice or remote control, if necessary, use the buttons on the device.

The adapter connected via AUX to the player in the car is within 500 rubles. Minor disadvantages include the fact that the device needs to be recharged.

In addition to the adapter, there is a special AUX-cable for the car radio, which is sold in the automotive equipment store. It can be found in the accessories section. Sometimes the adapter is already supplied as standard.

In this case, the connector should be on the one hand, as for a 3.5 mm jack headphone, and on the other hand, designed for a smartphone or other external device with music. To connect the cable to the radio, you need to connect the Aux in the menu, and then you should not mix up the 2 outputs and insert the plug into the Aux with the inscription "IN".

How to make aux

If the player in the car does not have a line-in, then it is useful to know how to output music from devices. To do this, you need to make a plug in the radio with your own hands. Car owners begin to think how to make an AUX input, if it is not, and begin to purchase the necessary tools. First you need to purchase a wire and a plug. They do not have to be bought at the store, as the connector can be removed from old headphones. So that after connecting there are no problems, the wire must be taken without damage.

The jack jack in the headphones is divided into 3 parts. In this case, the largest color wiring at the base refers to the overall sound. To solder parts you will need to use a soldering iron. In addition, you need to take solder and a multimeter.

What is AUX: features of this type of connection

So, before looking in detail at AUX and USB, as well as how AUKS differs from USB, it is important to understand that these are two fundamentally different types of connection. Unlike a USB connection, AUX is an additional (auxiliary) output.

If it is simple, a raw raw digital data stream is transmitted via USB, which is then processed and reproduced by the device itself (radio or GU), while AUKS simply transmits an analog sound signal already processed on an external device.

Moreover, each of these connectors has both pluses and minuses. Often, when connected via USB, the sound quality will be better than through AUX. The reason is that the radio tape recorder independently processes the received data; the main functions for controlling playback from the head unit (pause, rewind, file search, etc.) are also usually implemented.

It turns out that any smartphone (it doesn’t matter, iPhone or Android), a tablet or an MP3 player with a 3.5 connector can be connected to the radio or GU via aux in (aux). Moreover, if the other device is on a mobile device (for example, iPhone 7 and above have a 3.5 mm jack), then AUKS can still be easily connected via an adapter (AUX adapter).

This means that the mobile device does all the work, constantly works and runs out of battery faster (without connecting to a power source in the car). Also, the quality of the finished audio signal is more dependent on the capabilities of the mobile device, and not on the capabilities of the radio.

Moreover, during the passage of the audio signal through the amplifier to the stereo system, extra noise may appear. The driver also has to search for files and manage the media library also on the mobile device, and not using the radio, which is not always convenient when driving in a car.

On the radio CD

The disc player is equipped with an AUX input. Some manufacturers do not display it on the dashboard and do not know how to listen to music from an MP3 player. Therefore, the owner of the car must do it yourself. To solder Aux into the player, you need to stock up on tools and supplies, such as:

  • Medium Phillips screwdriver
  • knife,
  • a set of standard keys to remove the radio,
  • Jumper from the computer’s HDD
  • headphone wire
  • 3.5 mm jack
  • insulating tape,
  • USB cable

To make AUX in the radio, you need to remove the decorative plates - for this you can use a knife and gently pry them. After they take the middle Phillips screwdriver and unscrew 2 self-tapping screws holding the grate. When this is done, the net will move away and it can easily be removed. The procedure helps to open access to the radio with a CD drive, you can make an AUX input using standard keys. This is necessary to extract the player from the niche.

After removing the car radio, you should examine the back wall of the case and find the white connector.

Instead, this output will be located Aux entrance. After finding the connector in it, you should connect the USB-cable and a jumper from the HDD-drive. Then you need to close the contacts. To set the jumper correctly, you will need to divide the upper part into even contacts, and the lower one into odd contacts. To create an Aux input, you should connect the 11 and 13 lower contacts, if counted from the left side.

Then, a USB cable consisting of the following elements is connected to the input:

  • cable for the left channel
  • right channel wire
  • shielding.

For the right channel, 5 pin is used, and for the left - 3. Both wires are connected to a two-wire cable and insulate the connection with electrical tape. The cable and jumper plug into the player's connector in the car. The creation procedure is completed, and AUX is not output from the radio, but into the ashtray. A wire with a USB connector can be connected to the player or other devices. Independent soldering of the connector makes it possible to use not only a usb cable, instead of it you can use other adapters to connect external devices.

On the head unit

Soldering the AUX adapter for the head unit is not an easy process. In this case, the player is removed due to the fact that there is not always an input on the panel. In addition to the basic tools, to make a connector, you will need to prepare 3 insulated cables. The cross section of each of them should be 0.5 cm, and the length should be 30 cm. In addition, heat shrinkage is required.

To bring Aux to the head unit, you need to remove the decorative trims with a knife. A similar procedure is done with a panel near the gear lever. Then it is removed manually, after which access to 2 self-tapping screws is opened. To do this, use a Phillips screwdriver. Installing AUX in the head unit is carried out with the removal of the device from a niche.

In order not to damage anything, when removing the player, you need to disconnect all the wires from the back.

Then you need to take a Phillips screwdriver and unscrew all the bolts that hold the car radio cover. Now the device can be removed from the case. To install AUX in the head unit, you need to find the following 3 points on the board:

  • LCH. Indicates the left stereo channel.
  • RCH. Right stereo channel.
  • GND "Earth".

3 wires must be soldered to the indicated contact points. After that, all cables are assembled and shrink so that the structure is safe. The procedure for soldering AUX was carried out, and it remains to assemble the player.

All parts are installed in reverse order. The resulting three-wire wire is brought to the head unit and displayed in the glove compartment or car interior, after which it remains only to connect a 3.5 mm jack. To do this, use a soldering iron. After the procedure, you can connect other devices to listen to music on the car speakers.

On cassette player

If the car has an outdated player, and the owner wants to connect the AUX input to listen to music from an external device, then you will need to make a jack with your own hands. The toolbox is no different from other installation methods. The process begins by removing the bolts that hold the player in a niche. Then the player is removed and the screws are unscrewed from the car radio cover. After that, the tape drive mechanism of the cassette recorder becomes available.

The device is mounted on special latches of metal trim. Connecting the AUX input to the old radio is done both by removing the mechanism, so leaving the structure in place. It depends on whether the device will interfere with getting to the volume control. Then, a three-pin volume control is removed from the player. It needs to solder 3 wires:

  • common
  • for the left channel,
  • for the right stereo channel.

To isolate these places, it is necessary to place the wires in heat shrink. Then the tape recorder is collected and installed in a niche. Now you should attach the AUX to the cassette player and put it in the glove compartment. To do this, a 3.5 mm connector is soldered. After that, in the cassette recorder it will not be possible to insert tapes for listening; it will be used for AUX input wire.

Plays quietly

If the sound through the Aux enters the device weakly, then this may be due to damage to the wire. To fix the problem, you need to check the connection cable. To do this, use a multimeter.

If the device does not show problems, then it is worth increasing the volume on the connected device.

Does not work

Car owners note that the player does not make a sound. If AUX does not work, then this may be due to the fact that the connector is turned off in the radio. Otherwise, the wire would be connected to Aux OUT.

To solve these problems, go to the device menu and check whether the input is unlocked or not. Sometimes a problem occurs in the socket - for this you will need to remove the radio and check the connection of the contacts.

How to connect Aux to the radio

Due to the fact that the aux output is a common solution and is found on the vast majority of equipment capable of reproducing audio signals, the connection is not particularly difficult.

To make such a connection in a car, you need to find the AUX connector on the radio tape recorder or a standard PG, and also prepare a suitable aux cable for the length. Such an aux wire means that you need a cable with two 3.5 mm. TRS connectors (3.5 jack, 3.5 jack) at both ends.

Next, you need to insert one 3.5 into the AUX input on the radio, and the other into the 3.5 connector on the mobile device, and then select and run the desired song or audio file on the mobile device.

Now it remains on the radio itself to switch to AUX mode, choosing the aux input as the sound source. Further, through the aux wire, the audio files played on the mobile device will be transferred as an analog signal to the radio amplifier, which will amplify the signal before outputting it to the speakers.

By the way, in order to get an acceptable volume level and minimize distortion, you should not try to “load” the amplifier with too powerful a signal from a mobile device.

Please note that the initial volume level is difficult to determine, so before connecting it is better to set the volume to minimum volume both on the radio and on the mobile device.

Further, empirically, the best sound option is selected. In fact, if it’s simple, it is better to set the volume level on the mobile device to 60-70% of the maximum, after which you need to increase and decrease the volume on the radio itself.

In any case, although you should not count on good sound through AUX, however, if you correctly approach the issue of settings, then by experiment you can achieve an acceptable result.

We also add that if there is no AUX output on the radio, you can make such an output separately. For this, a separate solution with an input of 3.5 is selected, after which this input must be connected using a wire so that the signal after connecting external devices goes directly to the radio amplifier.

The disadvantage of this method is that you must have certain skills, as well as disassemble the radio, deal with soldering, etc. For these reasons, in this article we will not consider schemes for making AUX in the radio, etc.

How to connect to AUX wirelessly: what is AUX-Bluetooth and USB AUX adapter

Having examined the AUX itself, what is it in the car, as well as what pros and cons of such a connector, we can conclude that the main inconvenience is definitely the aux wire. Naturally, there are solutions that allow you to connect to the radio via AUX without a wire.

We are talking about special adapters that are inserted into the aux connector on the radio, and are connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth (Bluetooth-audio adapter). This technology is in almost any smartphone.

Among the shortcomings of the bluetooth aux adapters, one can distinguish not the best sound quality and “stumble” during playback, the need to connect additional power to the adapter itself, since its batteries are simply not enough for long-term operation, etc.

Please note there is still an AUX USB solution. Such an adapter is a wire, on one side of which a USB connector is made, and on the other, the same 3.5 connector for the radio. At the same time, it will not be possible to connect the "USB flash drive" via AUX, since it does not supply 5V power, which simply has nowhere to come from when connecting the AUX connector.

As you can see, the AUX input in the car allows you to connect an MP3 player, smartphone and other mobile external devices. At the same time, you can implement the connection in two ways:

  • using a wire (aux cable),
  • by acquiring an AUX-Bluetooth adapter,

The first option is the simplest, it turns out cheap, simple and affordable. If the cable is high-quality (at least two-wire), the sound will also be of normal quality. In this case, the minus is that it is not possible to get rid of the wire with such a connection.

It is not difficult to guess that the sound quality will depend on the quality of the conversion in the adapter. It is important that such an adapter has a good audio codec, the pairing of devices via bluetooth is fast, the connection is not lost, etc.

To summarize

Как видно, AUX (аукс, аух) в автомобиле является простым и удобным решением. If the GU capabilities are limited, USB is missing or out of order, then the AUX output allows you to listen to music on the radio from the player of your phone or tablet through the speakers of the car.
